CAT Topper 2017

CAT Topper 2017 is again an IITian who finally cracked this prestigious exam with perfect 100 percentile.

So Finally the waiting game is over and results are out for the toughest entrance exam on this planet CAT 2017. While everyone is praying for 99 Percentile score card there are a few people who cracked CAT 2017 with perfect percentile.

The results of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017 have been declared today morning, January 8. Sai Praneeth Reddy hailing from Andhra Pradesh has scored 100 percentile in the exam to become CAT Topper 2017.

While speaking with India Today Education, Sai Praneeth Reddy shares his joy, ”I am feeling very excited that I have achieved 100 percentile, I hope to perform well in the upcoming rounds of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) with the same spirit and get into IIM-A.”

Here’s his score card of CAT Topper 2017:

Verbal Ability and reading comprehension:

  • Scaled score: 64.43
  • Percentile: 95.65

Data interpretation and logical reasoning:

  • Scaled score: 73.87
  • Percentile: 100.00

Quantitative ability:

  • Scaled score: 94.01
  • Percentile: 99.97

Total overall scaled score: 232.32

Overall percentile: 100.00

His preparation strategy:

“I used to write mock test from 9 am to 12 noon without fail and this was proved very crucial in cracking the test. I was very good with quantitative and DILR sections. I concentrated more on English in the last one month. These are the basic things I followed during preparation and it did pay well.”

Switching from IIT to IIM:

“I realised that I can excel in the technical field but there are areas where you have to get your work done by others. For which you need to have team management skills and there is no other better place to learn those skills than IIM in India.”

Family background:

His father, Surendranath Reddy is a businessman in Anantapur village (Andhra Pradesh), and his mother Sandhya Readdy is a house wife.

Future plans:

“I have a job offer in hand but IIM-A is my first priority.”

Advice for CAT 2018 aspirants from CAT Topper 2017:

“Learning from mistakes is the main thing that will help anyone get better in life. Don’t miss AIMCATs. For English, start reading novels and articles, it helps a lot. For quantitative ability section, be strong with basics.”
